Großlobming circular path
This hike can also be understood as a leisurely walk, as the path is led exclusively on the plain. Seen from the centre of the village, you are heading west and, due to the open farmland and meadows, you can enjoy the surrounding mountains, here from a distance. The route runs along the edge of Styria's largest inner-alpine basin, so to speak, and this size or expanse can be felt particularly well during the hike. The community of Lobmingtal consists of Kleinlobming, Mitterlobming and the main village of Großlobming, which lies at an altitude of 641 m and is only a few kilometres from Knittelfeld. Starting from the village of Großlobming, which has about 1200 inhabitants, you will find numerous hiking trails that were newly developed, marked and signposted in summer. The overview board can be found at the starting point of all hiking trails, the car park at the Raiffeisenbank.
At the car park of the Raiffeisenbank in Großlobming (1), 641 m, we orientate ourselves by the yellow signpost with the inscription "Feldrundweg Großlobming". We start in the direction of Knittelfeld and cross the road after a few metres. Continue over the Lobmingbach stream and past the church, the trail continues to the left. Now we follow an asphalt road for the time being, which leads into a gravel road at the end of the populated area. From now on, we always stay straight ahead. The path passes a field cross (2), 654 m, with a bench and at the large stable building we hike to the left. After a short while we reach the busy main road, turn left at the cycle path and immediately right again. From now on we are on meadow paths and forest edge paths and thus avoid the road in a large loop. Once back on the asphalt road, we go right and then straight ahead to the bridge over the Lobmingbach stream and then left. After a few metres we reach our starting point.
